Man, I remember them. I used to be friendly with another offbeat downtown band, The Microscopic Septet, sort of fake jazz played by top tier guys (and a gal for a while). Phil Johnson was a monster woodwind player. I think they may have re-booted, but I'm pretty out of the NYC club scene. I probably have an old John Lurie record somewhere.
