What 'entrance' music?

If you could play one piece of music everytime you walked through your front door, what would it be?
My family knows that I'm partial to 'Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks', but it seems, we just aren't seeing eye to eye on this one. (ahem).

Qdrone, I 'll take your OM and raise you an "Ascension!" MY personal favorite, the 2nd version for me.
Great thread. I am a baseball fan and often players pick music to play as they come from the on deck circle to the batters box. I haven't seen any of their picks listed so far!
I asked my wife. She suggested "The Stripper" by the David Rose Orchestra. Whoops, gotta go. I hear hear car in the drive now!

I enjoy my privacy so Om by John Coltrane will clear a room in five minutes at full volume.
Entrance of the Gods to Valhalla (from Das Rheingold of Richard Wagner)
Well, if only for fun and given the majestic theme I'd go with one of:

1) "Hail to the chief"
2) Elgar's "Pomp & Circumstance"
3) Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries"
This post was meant purely for fun.
My train of logic is that if a man's home is his castle, then surely I am it's king? 'Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks' has such a royal flair to it. (I am convinced that if the Queen of England has an alarm clock, then this must be it's default tune.)
Bigjoe, that's what I like about Audiogon, occasionally someone breaks the boredom with a humorous post.

Yours really cracked me up :^).
thats an easy one,a song by frank zappa titled broken hearts are for assholes.

from the song

dont fool yer self girl its goin right up yer poop shute!
Interesting question. I have been a big fan of pro wrestling and these days everyone has entrance music. With all that said, I am particularly drawn to two songs:

Metallica's "Enter the Sandman" (ECW Sandman's entrance music)
Mercury Drive's "Burn In My Light" (WWE Bob Orton Jr.'s entrance music)

From "Enter the Sandman" ...
exit light
enter night
take my hand
off to never never land

From "Burn In My Light" ...
You tried to hold me under
I held my breath
Alone and now you wonder
What I possess

Fanfare for the Common Man (Aaron Copeland)?

BTW, the Royal Fireworks Music might not be such a good idea anyway. Handel was commissioned to write it for the dedication of a new library. During the ceremony, some of the fireworks landed on the roof of the library and it burned to the ground!
How about "Hail to the Chief"???

Seriously, though, who in their right mind would want to hear the same piece of music every time they walk through their front door? And if this is the "Next Big Thing" will it prove to be even more obnoxious than cell phone ringtones?
