What do you do when the music’s not speaking to you?

I listen to music every day for several hours. It’s a daily routine.   But some days I just can’t seem to get into the music.  It takes a while for me to find the exact music that I want to listen to.  Other days I’m fine with it from the beginning.  If any of you have the same problem what do you do to get out of it?

Newbee:

I have always "preferred" reading paper books to music though listening  to Quadrophenia with a Migraine comes pretty damned close.

When music dosen’t speak to me , I do not insist. I know , it will come back.
Reading , watching tv .

This hobby should  be one among others .

I use random play of my library a lot.   It’s like  my own personalized radio station.  Sometimes it helps to not have to think about what to play especially when you chose all the content to start with.

I just shut it off...same with book or video...I just let it go for a few hours or even a day or two...
