What do the arrows mean on my cable?

And how do I tell the difference between a digital cable and an RCA cable, they look the same.

Are the ones with the arrows more likely to be RCA for analog connections?

It goes back to the grounding issue, Connect the Ground on both sides of the cable or no and which one do you leave unconnected? Amazing how confusing this is. Basic answers are so elusive. We speak about rabbit hole but it really should be rabbit maze, good luck finding anything you looking for.
