They are the same company. If you want to know the differences between the Goertz "flat ribbon" cables and the Python "twisted ribbon," I have owned the MI-2's and Pyhton MI-2's.
The flat MI-2's seemed to be more dynamic, faster sounding, but with a bit of midrange to lower treble glare. The Python's smootheed that out, but in my system, it lost a little life to the music, making it a little dull.
That's my experience, others may differ.....
