Too much anti-skating? Perhaps combined with to little vertical tracking force? These are the first things I'd check, while also making sure that the turntable is level. Good luck, Dave
what causes repeat grooves on records?
Every now and again a record(usually one which has been played a fair bit) developes a "repeat groove" where the stylus gets stuck.This ruins the listening experience and is very frustrating.
There seems to be no cure but what is the cause? I hate to lose records this way despite careful cleaning and handling
