I still prefer AES to USB, but it all depends on which component has the best clock in your system (source or DAC). @glory, if you are still using the Bricasti M1 that is in your virtual system, I have heard that the M1 did not pay much attention to the USB implementation in the unit and that AES and SPDIF will produce a better result, if paired with a digital source that has a quality clock.
