You should post your parameters. I would say tubes if you have that option. Personally I don't think Hybrid designs sound as good as a good tube power amp. If you hybridize your system go with a SS pre and a tube power amp. How much money is in the budjet. Tube amps, that use multiple output tubes to generate realistic power or the giant single tube types are generally speaking expensive. If cost constraints figure in this "expensive" is 3 or 4 grand min. If that is not big money, live large.
