Watt Puppy DIY advise

I just picked up some Dick Olsher design Poly Natalia speakers which are, in effect, his DIY version of the Wilson Watt Puppy.

Tweeter: Morel MDT-33 1" Silk Dome
Mid: Audax HM130z0 135mm
Low: Audax HM210z0 210mm

Crossover network:
Alpha-core Metal Film Inductors
MusiCap Film Axial Capacitors
Caddock MP816 1.0 film resistors

Cabinet
Custom 2.25" thick MDF with genuine rosewood laminate

My question, cabinets are insane, damping and batting is plentiful, crossover network looks great, and drivers are correct spec’ed for the 1990’s design. But I know driver technology has come a long way in the past 30 years....and even for that time period, I understand that these Audax aerogel drivers received mixed reviews. Would I notice a substantial increase in general SQ by "upgrading" these drivers? If so, what should I consider?

FYI, at some point I plan to do some cosmetic work as well. Nothing crazy, piano black front, add velcro or hardware for grilles, general touchups.

My background: professional audio, mostly studio and some live stuff. Main studio monitors are currently Amphion One18’s and Yamaha NS10’s in a fully treated control room (stepped diffuser back wall, OC703 RFZ, corner traps). I get to mix on ridiculous FOH systems (Meyer Panther line array, LFC subs).

Initial impressions of the Poly Natalias in a very rough listening environment: Far less sterile and surgical than what I’m used to (flat reference monitors). Smooth, somewhat recessed highs (they weren’t bi-amped at the time). Great dynamic range and stereo field. Overall a very slight soft, fuzzy, almost studio tape-like quality to them. I would imagine these wouldn’t be fatiguing after hours of listening, which cannot be said of most studio monitors. Pending more impressions hooked up to good amps (bi-amped) in a good room (not properly treated but decent home environment).

Thanks in advance for the pointers!

Thanks for the input. I'll keep the current/intended drivers. I may pair these with a clean, surgical amp tp introduce a bit of that quality since I'm more used to extremely surgical studio monitors. I'm a big fan of lots of extra amp headroom, so I'll probably go with Hypex NCore 500W modules, or 250W's for bi-amping. Thanks again!

One more question, can anyone provide a rough ballpark valuation range on these? If I decide to sell them (unlikely) I have no idea what would be even close to a fair asking price. I don't wanna rip anyone off, or get ripped off myself. Any advice on this? Thanks again!

Hifi Shark is a pretty good source for the used market. You would have to do some currency exchange rates,  Hopefully that helps a bit,
