VPMS speakers from the 80s

I used to lust after the tall towers. I never got to hear one but I imagined they were a sonic powerhouse back in the day. I don't here them mentioned here. Are they way too colored or shrill? Does the current line sound competitive??

I think the founder has passed and VMPS is no more. They used to recruit people who would welcome prospective buyers into their home for an audition. I heard a large tower which had truly magnificent sound. Our host cranked it on the soundscape which follows the "Chiming Clocks" on Pink Floyd's DSOTM.
