"Vinyl sounds better than digital" is an indisputable fact, because it is true sound, not a computer-generated facsimile.

However, it’s not true that digital is an approximation. It can exactly reproduce the original waveform of the music on reconstruction. In any case, having digital in the chain doesn’t appear to adversely affect the sound of vinyl. The reason for our vinyl preference must lie elsewhere.
