I ordered my TaiHang yesterday, now we wait.
Vinshine X Collaboration with Kinki Studio, TheTai Hang power enhancer
What a surprise after installing the Taihang in my system,, in a word, amazing. Stage depth clarity was amoung one of the first things I notice. My system consists of tubes pre and power amps, with a digital and analog front end. Tubes as we know exhibit a second harmonic noise distortion which is a given and something we live with as it’s our perception as being more musical. Dirty power can add more nastiness to this by way of unfiltered AC. With the addition of the Taihang it has made all the background information much more clearer. My speakers are fairly high resolving so was able to take advantage of this additional gain the Taihang give me. Leading edges from instruments started and stopped more precisely still retaining musicality. Black background noise seemed non existent as we like saying but in this case it really does without straining to not hear. So clean power can do all this, seems to be! Also will mention as in some cases experienced with power amps, I sensed no loss in dynamics or compression which is one of the biggest concerns when implementing such products. This in my first day of listening. So again I’ll go back to my original statement, amazing! Alvin’s collaboration as he calls it, has some magic inside this beautifully crafted box.

Thanks @daytrader My plan as well. With only 4 outlets I can cover all front end components before the amp. Tomorrow marks 3 weeks and waiting. |
I've had TaiHang a week now, one thing is for sure, it's quiet no matter what. Today it's hot out, the A/C is running, my wife has the washer and dryer going and there is still silence, no line noise at all. These Stack Audio AUVA EQ's are excellent. I now have 2 sets under my Aurender and my DAC. I plan to order 2 more sets next week for under my Legacy Wavelet and Coda amp. |
@toneranger58 I only know what it says on the webpage which is 4-6 weeks. They have acknowledged my order was received. I've bought quite a few things from Alvin before. |
@wig To be clear you are talking about the PC feeding your TaiHang right? |
Thanks @wig . I am working on both on the used market. |
@wig I was able to land a 1 meter Furutech DPS 4.1 Power Cord with FI-50 NCF plugs on the used market. Thanks for the advice! The TaiHang won't be here for a few weeks so I can get this thing on to power something to break it in while I wait. Alvin told me today they are 4-5 weeks out on production. My plan is to power my Aurender, DAC, DDC and Wavelet II with it. |
Has anyone recently received their TaiHang? Trying to get an idea on the wait. (I ordered June 13th) @wig I got the Furutech cable a few days ago and it's hooked up to a space heater in my basement. (My listening room is in the basement and it's rather cool down there so I use a space heater with a thermostat set at 68 to keep the room consistent) |
@hoodjem Thanks for that feedback. I appreciate hearing that. My TaiHang shipped today! You echo what everyone else says about it’s performance. Are you using the stock power cord on it? |
@hoodjem Well no, but now that you mention it I do remember that no PC’s come with their stuff. I was curious because I have a Furotech DPS 4.1 with FI-50NCF plugs for mine.. Thanks for the update. I assume you are pleased with your purchase. |
@superpower65 what gear do you have plugged into your TaiHang? |
@wig I like them there, not a big change from the Orea. But nice. I ordered 1 more Orea Bronze to have a set of 4 for under the TaiHang. (Use of assets..LOL) |
@timothy468 Thanks for the well thought out review, give it some time as it will probably get better. I ordered mine on June 13th, It shipped on July 8th. and my estimate is it will be here maybe by the end of next week. |
