Vandersteen VLR CT

Just noticed that the VLR CT is now on the Vandersteen website:  https://www.vandersteen.com/products/vlr-ct

Eager to hear any impressions on this little guy.

My regular VLR's sound pretty amazing for their small size. I'm sure the CT version is worth the money if you want a small package and need super sound.
If I get to Audioconnection, I'll see if Johnny can set up a demo of the two.

I wish he would offer the CT upgrade for my Treo's.
@cedargrove,
I need to let Johnny look at my AX-7e, I will try to see if he can set the two speakers up for a demo.

@mr_m ,
I wish I could buy them new.
And, I haven't seen any used Treo CT's on Hifi Shark, either, which is probably a good thing, as that means people don't want to change.
To be honest, I think my non-CT Treo's are amazing. Since I can't go that route, I am trying to sell some unused equipment and get the Sub 3's.
If by some miracle, Mr. V. would do an upgrade, I would have to get another pair of speakers to listen to while they are in the shop.
I've had my eyes on a pair of MBL 126's for some time. I haven't heard them, but I like the design, and heard good things about them.

I auditioned the VLR CT's at Audioconnection last year.
Setup:
VLR's, Belles Integrated, Ayre Codex, Bluesound Node/Aurender N100.

So, Peter (ctsooner) wants to hear the new AQ William Tell speaker cables. Johnny disconnects the Sub 3 and plugs in the new cables.

Holy cow!
The increased definition across the frequency spectrum was easily heard.
Now, I never subscribed to cables being a significant factor, but these sure changed my mind.
@ediconretro,
Using the William Tell cables made the VLR's perform like the Sub 3 was still connected.

@peter,
Thanks for posting and I am glad you love the VLR's.
I own the non-CT's, but
I never thought they would sound as good as the other Vandy models, but Mr. V. seems to always make great speakers at a great price.

@peterclemens,
As a whole Agon'ers behave well, esp. Vandy Threads😉.
Just don't mention fuses, or cables...

My VLR's are mounted near the ceiling/corners of the room with a little downward tilt and angling toward my desk.
I wish I could listen a little further away, but that is where they have to go.
I love the way they sound.
( I had a pair of Zu Omen Bookshelf speakers before, but the Vandy's are much, much better. I can't believe such a small box can make so much quality sound).
I also have a pair of Hsu subs under the desk to flesh out the lowest notes, but to be honest, I really don't think I need them.
Are they as good as my Treo's, no- especially considering the positioning, but they sound very nice. No fatigue, lots of definition- as a Vandy should be.
