I have owned both the Avatar SE and the Avatar Super, and I feel the Super is better in every way, except: You can not switch to triode. If you are in love with the triode sound you may not care as much for the ultrlinear sound of the Super.

Absolute Sound did a review about a year ago. Check their website, they may have it available.
