Using In wall front speakers as Atmos speakers?

When I bought my condo the unit had built in wall 5.1 speakers wired up behind the walls.The room has an 11 ft ceiling and for some reason the developer put front speakers up 10 ft. on the front wall and surrounds at 8 ft on the back wall. Doesn't sound as odd as you might think with a center down at ear level however Im thinking of buying a set of dedicated bookshelf or towers for my fronts.Wondered if connecting my two 10 ft high front in wall speakers as Atmos speakers would work or should I use them as presence speakers connected to my Yamaha receiver?Matt
