Used Vinyl: Classical.....Mono or stereo

Hey folks...looking for easy to find, good sounding LPs...Beethoven, Mozart, etc...prefer symphonies and string quartets...but I am open to any and all suggestions...looking at Bruno Walter for Beethoven on CBS masterworks...any thoughts? Mono or stereo is fine...maybe his later Columbia stereo efforts? ALso...looking for a really nice Beethoven 9th in mono or stereo...thanks....

Of the versions I’ve come across, I put this one as my recommendation. Both SQ and cool factor being released in 1959. Right during the period LP’s came with substantial reading material. Really, a collectors album.

My other pressings get no action.

A decent copy can be had for 20% of a primo copy.
My copy is close if not a top dollar press I found for cheap.
2nd movement CRANKED on a decent setup is a privilege to experience.
