used Sonus Faber repair (again)

I had no problem getting my second hand SF speakers repaired by Sumiko.  All they wanted to know was that my speakers were originally sold through their NA distribution networks and that they were not grey market imports  Although grey market imports are not illegal, you cannot expect the NA distributor to offer warranty or general repair service for those who purposely circumvented their NA distribution rights. 

Thank you testpilot. I have considered buying used SF in the past, but always scared off by possibility of inability to get repaired if needed.
