Upcoming Technics SP-10R (100th Anniversary Model)

There is no sense in producing new TT which nobody can afford.

So my quess is about $5000 such that I can buy Lew's Kenwood

for, say, $ 3000 while he need  to add only $ 2000 to enrich his

collection with one more ''best ever TT''.

I am sorry to spoil the admiration but in my opinion neither EPA

100 nor the Mk2 version are suitable for the (LO) MC carts.

The ''damped counter weight'' is obviously made for the MM carts.

Aka lightweight . I (re) sold my MK 2 after two months . I am not

aware about any added weight or the possibility to increase  the

(counter) weight withour ''disturbance''  of the damping mechanism.

Pani, ''wishful thinking'' is thinking and talking about the stuff that

we can't afford. Any succes with your search for a second hand

Windfeld or even ''higher'' Ortofon?

only Serbian speculated about $ 5000 such that ''he'' could buy

your Kenwood for about $3000 so you only need to add $2000

to get the 10R.

@chakster , teasing your brother? If Lew , after comparing with

his Lenco, Denon, Kenwood and SP 10,mk3 need to confess

that 10 R is better, I will buy the ''thing'' and put in my SL1000

Obsidian plinth. This way I will save, according to you, 10 K and

probably could afford the 10 R solo?

Well Lew, I consider both Dertonarm and Vindmantas (owner/

designer by Reed) as genius. Those are so rare that i have no

idea how to write the plural. We all (?) are familiar with Dertonarm

but not with Vindmantas. Well he is/was a real rocket scientist

and worked for the Russian military. When his country become

independent he started to work for himself. I like both but not

their ''new prices''. I owned all Reed's till 3P and give up thereafter.

From ''the Bavarian'' I own the headshell and the cheapest MC and

give up thereafter. In this sense I am like my Slavic brother
