I can't recall the company but I was reading about some cable that said most cables only deliver at speeds of half the speed of light whiles there's ramp it up to 75% or so. Man! When speed of light is 186,000 miles per second are you really going to need to shell out the extra $$?
Unusual Designs/Marketing and Laughable Websites
Recently, I’ve been interested to find a good balanced 4 or 8 channel amp for my LXmini + stereo pair of Phoenix (alt) open-baffle subs - to replace my ATI 6012 (which is not balanced). During this search, I happened upon the AD4.320 from Starke Sound (California) - which looks to be a possibility.
But I mistakenly searched for StarkAudio, and found a completely different company (Europe). Here is an unusual group making speakers that, "In her exquisite representation, Jane sounds off a genuine and exemplary code of behavior." I thought... that’s a weird marketing description. Furthermore, these speakers are "inspired by a woman's body" (I agree there is a likeness) and produce an "Aural Orgasm" - Wow! If this website isn’t a spoof, then they're serious and the site is ripe for spoofing (think The Onion News).
I suspect there are many more funny/weird audio-related website examples waiting out there to be discovered. Thinking I might gather some good examples and create an audio-related spoof website - for a light-heated laugh.
