Unusual countries for audio gear

We all know that audio product come from Canada, the U.K., America, Denmark, France, Italy, Germany, Australia.

What are some unusual places you've heard make really good stuff? Anything from Norway? Or New Zealand? How about Qatar or somewhere in the middle east?

Cyprus, Serbia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania — very interesting.
I'm curious about this question in part bc countries/companies that offer high value for lower cost might come from these countries as they try to break into the market.

Of those so far, the unusual ones to me are Estonia, Hungary, Spain, Israel, and Greece. The others are more well known. (I forgot about Hegel!)

[Kofibaffour, you're mentioning easy, well-known ones. Perhaps a thread for that can pop up somewhere else.]

Any others?

@gano I cannot understand your point. Restate it, please? Norway-- far north. Has audio. Greece, much further south, different climate. China in the east, UK in the west. Etc. So you are saying...?
