it is difficult to find a decent universal player for $500 in current production. i too have an oppo 970. as a player it is not what i would to place in my main system.
Universal that acts like a cd player
I have an OPPO dv 970 and it does sound quite good in my system but its load time is slow and the remote is needed for ff and rew etc.- I'm looking for a universal that above all sounds great for redbook and also is user friendly like a dedicated cd player- budget is $500(or less)-
