Type 59 for Audio?

Has anyone out there ever tried using a Type 59 output tube in a power amp. design?
I have admired the appearance of the 59 for years, and have considered it's looks to be the next best thing to a WE 300B.
I know it was never a very popular tube, and the specs in all of the tube manuals don't look very impressive. But, it's always seemed to me that with modern parts and some innovation, the tube could be made to sound respectable. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
