yes they make DVI to HDMI converters you can get a cable terminated this way. HDMI can pass the DVI digital signal and audio on the same cable is the only difference over a longer distance

I have a Panasonic 50 in plasma which only has HDMI & component inputs. I just got VOOMed and my 32 inch Samsung via DVI looked better than the panny via component.
