I've several I'd love to post but I found one that maybe is forgotten and surely a blast from the past.
Duran Duran "New Religion".
Listening to it made me think that there is what may seem to be early (rap) going on, that we did not notice at the time? It's a fun and quite good tune. Check it out. |
ELP "Still.....You Turn Me On"
k.d. lang "Busy Being Blue", excellent!
Angus & Julia Stone "Yellow Brick Road" !

@reubent , @mofimadness finally, some others into some modern, electronic sounds! Great tracks.. |
...another positive outcome..
I have been looking for my ELP "Brain Salad Surgery" lps,(4) since Greg's death. Could not find them. I put them in the B's (for Brain) instead of the E's.
Happy Listening!

bigkidz,
Music is why I'm in this. These music recommendations are invaluable.
Jackson Browne.. Thanks for this,...I have a 12'' / 45rpm of "The Road Out/Stay. The sonics are great! I'm going to put it on now thanks to you're mentioning this artist.
Happy Listening.

Geez you people are killing me but thanks for all the suggestions. It will take me a year to listen to all this! BUT THANKS and Happy Listening.
I do like the Jackson Browne live recordings myself! |
I have several, but acknowledging I overtook yesterday....
Eels "I Like Birds"
Uriah Heep, Sea of Light, Universal Wheels
definitely my song of this hour! |
Didn't listen to a damn thing today except the spouse complaining about the 60 cps 'hum' coming through a tv moved to a different location. Spent a chunk of the evening chasing that devil. Turns out it was in just THAT circuit, no other. No conspicuous reason WHY, either...
I hate 'bug hunts'. Especially when the 'bug' laughs and hides, taunting...
It's a rented space. I'm not going to rewire... |
Nicole Atkins "Cry Cry Cry".
She's got the chops! |
AC/DC "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be"!!
I have a lp that has been long forgotten.
Why, I really don't know. How.. maybe because of the time in which they peaked?
Creed "Human Clay".
The lp title is awesome! The frontman/singer has the chops!
So, why, no love????????
This is my homage to Creed. Give it another chance?
Country Joe & the Fish "Flying High"
Gary Clark Jr. (HWUL RAW CUTS Vol II) "When My Train Pulls In"
Jimi Hendrix "Pali Gap"
Tune of the Hour?
As long as it's a good tune, I'll add another...
Grand Funk Railroad "Black Licorice"
The Grand Camel Suite, from It's a (Big Bad) Beautiful Day's Choice Quality Stuff/Anytime |
slaw, Kansas is one favorite bands, ever. Steve Walsh is an amazing vocalist. I like "Miracles out of nowhere". Song for America is great. "Lonely Street" has some guts! https://youtu.be/nQWfiWtROs0Im sure you've heard Kerry Livgren's solo albumn? Seeds of change. N |
Kansas "Miracles Out of Nowhere"
Haven't listened in years.. still holds up, Wow!

Oh man, "Lido Shuffle" has a killer groove played by the great Jeff Porcaro, later drummer in Toto. The song was written by Boz and one of the other future Toto members. |
