Tube swapping question...

On a tube amp I have on the site it states....

Tube: 6N8S (analogue 6SN7) (not hybrid)
and
Rectifier: 6C5S (analogue 6X5GT)

Does anyone know if this means that it is safe to use 6SN7 tubes and 6X5GT as replacements? The company is not able to respond super fast these days, they're in Ukraine.

The 6SN7 is plug and play, no worries, as is the 6X5. If you have the Sovtek 6N8S tubes in stalled (made in the Reflector plant) you may find that almost any 6SN7 made sounds better; its arguably the worst one around IMO.
