I have all my music in my mp3 player but my format is wav lossless not mp3. I just need to know in the future if I were to upgrade my preamp to tubes.

Hi, I was wondering if I can run a mp3 player using the headphone out to a tube preamp input? Would the amplify signal ruin the tube life?
