I bought a Pre-amp, no frills but awesome sound. It came with a stepped attenuator, oil filled caps, Kwamie resistors, quality caps, etc.
Beautiful sound, better than the BAT I own, but the BAT lives on due to remote and inputs.
The BAT is no slouch, I love it. But the HK unit does sound better. Better image, etc. Not as much drive voltage though.
