A nicely restored Scott integrated tube amp will do just fine! I have two: a 299 and an LK72. Great forgotten classics! And a lot more oomph than any SE tube amp!
Tube amp recommendations for Enzos
I'm the proud new owner of some legacy Tekton Enzo speakers, and I want to try a low-power integrated tube amp to go with them. I've never owned a full tube amp before (only hybrids). I'm looking to spend somewhere around $500-1000 and get something used. Any recommendations?
Also, is there anything special I need to consider since the Enzos are 4-6 ohm? I would assume that most tube amps can handle that resistance without any problem.
The Jolida JD 102 looks like it's in my price range and about what I'm looking for. I've read that the EL84 tubes are nice and warm, which is what I'm looking for. I currently own a Jolida hybrid 1501 integrated that I like but want more of the warm tube sound.

A little more money, maybe consider a Quicksilver (EL84) Integrated? Or the Jolida JD102CRC Or maybe something like this: http://www.highfidelityreview.com/almarro-a205a-mkii.html |
