Trouble setting up preamp with digital crossover. Changed from MXR preamp 2 to bgw 200.

Need help! Having a brain freeze.  I am using a BGW preamp, URI digital programable crossover and 4 BGW amps of various sizes.  I can only get sound when I plug the into the EQ or tape inputs.  Then, I can only use the gain on the amps to adjust the volume.  I can even turn off the preamp, and the sound still comes through.  The volume knob on the preamp does nothing.  I know that I am plugging things in wrong, but I have not figured it out though trial and error. Any help would be appreciated.  There are two buttons in the power area that say "power" and "amp".  Never had a preamp that had 2 buttons in this area before.

You have to connect the crossover and power amps to the main output, make sure the jumpers on "ext. equalizer" are in place.

According to the Block diagram the "amp" switch is control the "pwr amp" outlet on the back panel.
