I have never seen any of their recordings on vinyl, but if it were available, would you buy a copy???

I'm thinking of getting on someone's case to get this on a good format...

Trans-Siberian Orchestra was originally an off-shoot project of the band Savatage(who are based out of Florida). The band started out in early 80's and their "Sirens" album is considered to be one of the best "metal albums" ever made. Most commercially successful album was "Gutter Ballet" in the late 80's. Jon and Chris Oliva were the driving force behind the band until Chris was killed in an automobile accident in 93. TSO was formed by several members of the band in 1995. There is no product on vinyl. You can check out the sites for Chris Cafferty, and Jon Oliva for more information...
the idea is intriguing, but I probably wouldn't spring for a lot of $. For my purposes the CD's are fine, mostly because it's once a year for a few listens only.
The reason I brought this up is I have been thinking about lighting a fire under someone to get this put out on vinyl, or seeing what I can do myself if no one else is interested, but I'm wondering if there's a market for say a nice double LP boxset with great artwork, maybe a lyric book and 180 gram vinyl...

Any thoughts...

If you haven't seen them live yet, the show is great, lots of musicians, and the lighting is the best I have ever seen, just a great show.
There was an interesting article in the Washington Post on these guys 2 weeks ago. It's turned into a Rock franchise with 2 bands touring during the Christmas season. I doubt they have or intend to put out any vinyl. I do like their take on many of my Christmas favorites, but really only listen to them during December. I once went looking for anything they've done that wasn't Christmas theme, but it didn't exist.
No offense intended, guys, I was just joking around. I have plenty of favorites that others would be rolling on the carpet about.
darkmoebius i think we should respect what everyone like to listen to. we are all in this because of the music. let people enjoy what they want without riduculing them
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is great Christmas music, and good stories! If you don't like them it's more a reflection on you than them...

Trans Siberian Orchestra - and I thought it wasn't possible to out cheese John Tesh
I have ever never heard this orchestra. But if you has any chance to get Melodya (the former state owned LP company of the Sovietunion) LP with russion performers, recorded by Melodya, you should not miss the chance to buy them. They simply fantastic sounding LPs.
