Totem Hawk or Model 1?

Both of these speakers cost about the same and both
Are highly regarded. I think I prefer the smaller footprint and esthetics
Of the Hawk. I have a sub and stands already so that is not a concern.
Thanks, it's time to upgrade from my Thiel SCS's which I will be listing here
Soon.

Model 1 are the best stand-mount speakers I have ever owned, regardless of price.
If you get a chance, listen to the new element series. They really are good. The new Kin Mini, coupled with the Kin Sub, is a great entry level small speaker. The Ember and Fire are also very nice monitors. This is a non-paid advertisement from a fan of the new element series.
I currently have a brand new pair of Hawks that I switch out now and then with a pair of Thiel CS3.5 - I know, QUITE different speakers - but what the heck. I auditioned and purchased the Hawks because, having had a pair of Rainmakers a few years back, Totem makes excellent stuff. The Hawks bass will surprise you, especially at lower volumes. (AR preamp, Pass Labs X150.5 amp). I haven't filled the cabinet with shot or sand as of yet so I cannot say if that's beneficial. The Hawks are slim, light -especially after moving the Thiels around, and are quite defined. I went with them because I didn't want stands, nor a subwoofer. I may eventually go with a sub because compared to the Thiels the Hawks bass to me sounds a trifle bloomy

I've had the ARROS and FORESTS simultaneously in prior systems.

The system supporting gear --putting aside the source kit for now varies (amps & cables.. all of ICs, speaker, and power ) to get them to perform to their max is significantly different.

Detailing what you currently have, what you may want to keep, and what you may want to change -- if any -- would help to get some meaningful replies.
Impossible to offer a meaningful response without knowing what comprises the rest of your system

Can you elaborate?
