Topnotch BluRay Concert.....

I recently bought Adele on Blue Ray live at the Royal Albert Hall. Simply spectacular 5.1 sound. Anyone experience good 5.1/2.1 concerts feel free to explain in detail and even direct where to buy.....thx in advance:)

JP I listened to cuts off the CD and albeit decent it doesn't make my top 20.
Having said that its on my wish list.
You are in what age bracket 35-45?
@JP1208 Gilmore can still play guitar but his voice is very poor on this Bluray.
Bob Sting in Berlin is a top notch BR even if you don't like Sting's antics! lol
Dominic Miller is one of the best acoustic guitarists bar none!
Jp if you are a Clapton fab despite what sine reviews say " Old Sock" is well worth a listen.
The Mrs and their two girls even get in on the act.
There is some reason why I didn't pick Dave Mathews let me get back to you on it.
I bought the previous Rush BR and it's more a story of the band and not on my recommended list
Botti's BR comes immediately to mind.
There are a few others to note Les Paul's bithday BR is exceptional value, Billy Joel in the last great concert at
Shea stadium, Eltons 60th brithday bash at MSG, David Foster's hitman Bluray,Etta James for an older BR is quite good,The Ojays, War,Fca 35 Tour: An Evening With Peter Frampton ,Blu-ray, most classical concerts are god with exception of Aix's house bands border on boring although good in sound and video.
To that end here are some classical favs:
New Year's Concert 2012 Blu-ray,
Flute Concertos at Sanssouci - A Tribute to Frederick The Great [BPhilharmoniker & Yutaka Sado Blu-ray, (2011,Mahler: Symphony No 8 Blu-ray 2012,Abbado Conducts Mahler: Symphony 5 Blu-ray 2011
Beethoven: Symphonies Nos. 7,8 & 9 Blu-ray (2011)
Maybe with a collection o fover 150 BRs I should not what not to buy! lol
Three that come to mind are , Lou Reed, ELP, and David Gilmour. The first is nothing short of horrible.

We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
Typical manipulation from Frey and Henley
Jp still not convinced on Gilmore's Bluray! lol
His guitar is still among the best though. He should look at what most of the geezers do get some vocals to complement his shortfalls.
I agree with Adele's Bluray too!
We are running Whisper XDs with a Coda 15.0 and 7X Pre and there is nothing they can't handle.
The bass is pristine!
Unless the recordings are that poor and then the system only magnifies the garbage! lol
BTW Albert Hall is my favorite venue.
All these people sniveling over the disk not working!
What's the disk problem got to with the quality of the production ....Nada!!
Hotel California alone is worth the price of the disk!
It's a riveting version with Bill Armstrong's compelling trumpet solo.
The horn section with Greg Smith barritone sax,Al Garth - alto sax and violin; Bill Armstrong - trumpet; and Chris Mostert tenor is amazing.
Yes Henley's a perfectionist and if you don't like perfect don't buy the disk.
Hole in the world is a tribute to 9/11 and good example of what makes the Eagles click with this 5 part harmony piece.
We have a sound system that am thankful for every day.
Having seen the Eagles on their last trip to Vancouver this BR was like reliving the night.
How can you possibly not give it 5 stars is beyond me.
It rates with my top 5 out of 150 BRs.
Drumm Henley's a perfectionist and if its not right the fit will hit the shan in Vegas.lol
You like Beck's BR that much! hmmm
I have it and although good its not in my top 20.
The BR is under-produced like most BRs if you're looking for a volume boost.
But the quality is Henley perfect!

Kenk for the money its an excellent purchase.
Orianthi is an incredible lead guitarist however I am not so sure it would make my top ten.
Maybe top 50.
Another that never made my list was Etta James but I tried to cater to all.
For a 1993 BR Etta's is quite well done.
Stevie Wonder and the daughter albeit not bad certainly not top 20!
Joe Bonamasa's new BR certainly worthy of note.
As for Deep Purple Gilain would do better as a comedian!
check out 20 steps from Stardom not much for musical documentaries but this is a heart warming story of some of the best backup vocalists in the bizz.
Sound and picture are excellent
