Topnotch BluRay Concert.....

I recently bought Adele on Blue Ray live at the Royal Albert Hall. Simply spectacular 5.1 sound. Anyone experience good 5.1/2.1 concerts feel free to explain in detail and even direct where to buy.....thx in advance:)

Eagles Farewell Tour blu-ray is excellent.

Another I picked up and is very good sounding is Metallica Live in Quebec. I was thinking this was going to be brittle or a little harsh. It's crankable!
I found both Eagles and Metallica at Best Buy last week. $16 for Metallica!
I don't like all the camera angles but the sound is very good for a hard rock concert. I was pretty surprised!
Tobb, the new 2112 is just a music BR but it's pretty cool. They really expanded the stage and not near as brittle. I just threw it out there for the Rush fans.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds at Radio city sounds pretty darn good to me.
Bonamassa is a great guitarist. This concert will be shown on Directv April 3rd. Channel 567 PLDAHD if you want to check him out. I bet he sounds great on DTS-MA.
Admranger, Rush Snakes and Arrows is just ok. A bit tipped up. The drum solo is awesome however. I really like the 2112 blu ray audio disc and the redbook version has 3 live songs added that are excellent.

Tobb, I'm shocked you didn't like David Gilmore Live at Albert's.
Tobb, his vocals are getting a little old but vocals in general on the BR are very good. Royal Albert Hall is a great place to record live and it shows on both Adele and Gilmore. The whole venue is very good but Adele's voice is fresh and stunning on her BR. The opening bass on Gilmore's BR is startling. I have two JL Audio F113's and I would have to say if you want to test your subs to see just how good or poor they are this is the BR to do that with. Very clean bass.
Admranger, just the overall bass in general is very good and clean. The heartbeats get a little carried away but is very clean and will test your amp and how well it can control the speakers low end. This will also test your room and let you know if your room is putting out unwanted frequencies. I think they increased the db's on the heartbeat so if you can control those beats you can just about control anything.

There are test track cd's out there that can help with bass management. I have the XRCD24 bit Sheffield drum test disc which is great for bass management.

Lately I have been spinning the DVD-A of Talking Heads Speaking in Tongues and Dire Straits SACD of BIA.

If you like Talking Heads the DVD-A 5.1 mixes are a lot of fun and done very well and I'm not much into mixes.

Again, I think these discs have bass that is very well done with a little more detail and clarity going to Dire Straits SACD.
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds did not make your top 20? I'm going to pick up Eric Clapton's guitar festival 2010!

If any of you are Rush fans the 2112 blu-ray audio disc is a good one. Much better than any 2112 cd I have owned.
Need to add Black Sabbath " Gathered In Their Masses". Excellent sound and video. Drums are very clean with tons of slam. The drum solo is great for showing off the subs.
