Top five live Rock And Roll Albums

This has probably been done done before but here goes my top five
1 The Allman Brothers Band Fillmore East
2 Derek and the Dominos Live at The Filmore East
3 Humble Pie Live at The Fillmore East
4 The Who Live At Leeds
5 The Rolling Stones Get Your Ya Ya's Out

Nirvana Unplugged

Most live albums are concert souvenirs, but this one is a revelation.
I am generally not a fan of live rock and roll albums but would go with Supertramp's Paris.
Bob Dylan - Royal Albert Hall

Honorable mention : Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won
Allman Bros Fillmore East
Grateful Dead Live
The Who Live at Leeds
Cheap Trick Live at Budokan
Kiss Alive

Jethro Tull, A little light music. All semi accoustic recordings from a European tour in 1992.

Depeche Mode -- Exciter
Nina Hagen -- Return of Mother
Jimi Hendrix -- Band of Gypsys
Frank Zappa -- The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life
B.L.U.E. -- Brufford Levin Upper Extremities
Here are a few that are not on the list of usual suspects........

Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriquez - Live From the Ruhr Triennale (Wow!)
The Jayhawks - Live From the Women's Club Vol. 1&2
Rare Earth - Live
Band of Horses - Live at the Ryman
Patricia Barber - Companion
BoDeans - Joe Dirt Car
The Tubes - What do you Want from Live

No genre, just excellent live recordings that are often FAR better than the studio work from these artists. All of these are in my semi-regular rotation.

More to add:

Van Morrison - It's Too Late To Stop Now
Yes - Yessongs
The Band - The Last Waltz
Led Zep - The Song Remains The Same
Grateful Dead - Europe '72

Cheers,
Spencer
