Tonearm recommendation

Hi,

I just acquired an Ana Mighty Sound “Sculpture A.3M” cartridge and seeking tonearm recommendation.

Selection of tonearms are Technics epa-500 with the H, M and G wand also Reed 3p 12” with Cocobolo wand.

Thanks, Skc

Since the Sculpture A.3m is a derivative of the Denon DL103, I would use the tonearm with the highest effective mass available, YMMV.

Viridian, three "i"s,  it's a shade of green, as in green with envy at some of the rigs you guys are running.

I don't think my advice carries any weight as I just checked and the suspension of the cartridge has been altered to 12cu, moderately low compliance, though their spec does not indicate if this is at 10 cycles or 100 cycles.

So either arm should be a good match, the 500 with G or L arm wands, as regards primary resonance. But of course it is not the primary resonance which changes the sound of a cartridge, it is the secondary resonances which fall into the audible range. Unfortunately we don't have waterfall plots of the secondary arm resonance so it would seem to be a try both and see kind of situation. I'm not much help!
