Tidal - 4 on the floor

I 'm taking advantage of the Holiday offer. So far totally unimpressed. I've found a couple more albums than Qobuz. And a lot fewer artists that I like.
All for 65% $$ more? How can Square fix that?

I was a Beta-Tester for both Tidal and Qobuz.

Needless to say, I have spent way too much time comparing the two.  They are both excellent and each have their pros & cons.

In the end, when I had to start paying for them, I picked Qobuz.
I have been using Tidal for a few years and am on a free trial of Qubuz this month. SQ is the most important factor for me and on it Tidal wins. Same songs played on both service just sounds better on Tidal. MQA and HiRes. I was hoping Qubuz will be better since its cheaper but it was not to be. I will be cancelling Qubuz this week. This is my experience and yours may wary.
"It's not an issue."
Well, that's really lame. If you ever have a technical problem like I did, the instructions were to log out, then log back in to reconnect.

Qobuz have confirmed all offline music is removed if you log out.

I know I spent ages creating offline for holidays etc and they asked me to log out and it was gone.

Dear customer,

Thank you for your message.

1) The offline music is registered when you are connected, if you log out it is automatically put back to zero. It is not an issue. Don't log out of Qobuz and it will remain.

I’m using Tidal now due to a promotion but had been using Qobuz before. I like the high resolution selection with Qobuz. For me that’s the priority between the two. That being said, Tidal is certainly worth the amount they charged me. Hard to understand why anyone would qualify as being a loser for liking one over the other.
You're not supposed to lose anything when logging out. As long as your subscription is up to date, all information is still in the app.
I had to log out once during some troubleshooting to reconnect to my network.

I'm certainly not going to complain about the Qobuz price reduction. Qobuz's library is growing every day and so are subscriptions. Meanwhile, Tidal's customer base has not expanded and allegedly Jay Z is in talks with Square.

Tidal has some good features, the most useful being offline use, but I prefer Qobuz for my musical taste. And the consistantly good SQ is a good reason for audiophiles to subscribe.

Good response. I care about very little of those features. They are obviously worth paying for if you use them. Yes, playlists are more tedious on Q. But neither are as easy as Spotify.
At least I've never logged out. Don't want to be a looser.
I guess it depends what you want from a service.
Qobuz has no
Station or radio function
No real offline function, log out by mistake and you loose the lot.
No ability to restore offline content
No Video
No my Mix
Carplay does not work, only for downloaded no streaming.
Poor playlist.
Poor support
Qobuz does not continue to play music and the end of the playlist.
Tidal may be more expensive but it’s feature set is far advanced of Qobuz if you also want mobile functionality.

Plus Qobuz just had to reduce prices by 25% to try and attract customers.
