I have an ss2 subwoofer in a 5.1 home theater configuration consisting of Thiel cs2.3 front speakers, cs1.5 rear speakers, Thiel scs2 center speaker, Anthem mca 50 five channel amplifier and an Anthem avm60 surround sound processor, all this equipment preowned. I can also use the subwoofer and the front speakers in a stereo configuration using my vpi scoutmaster turntable. I used the arc software supplied with the surround sound processor to integrate the subwoofer seamlessly with the remaining Thiel speakers. I have had no problems with any of my Thiel speakers other than one of the cs2.3 speakers which required a substantial rebuild after a few months. I have been using the sub for several years without any problems.
So if the price is reasonable and you can determine that the sub works before purchasing from my experience I would go ahead with the transaction.
