Don't know about Thor but in general if this unit 'broke down' as a result of a tube failure, which you replaced, and will not now turn on, it could be a couple of things, neither of which would be difficult for a techie to service, i.e. blown fuse or a resistor in the bias circuit. Tell folks where you live and you'll probably get some recommendations for a repair shop nearby.

My Thor TA-1000 broke two days ago. I got all 4 tubes replaced and it still not working (no sound). Is there a place I could send the preamp to for repair? I really like it and couldn't find any used ones for sale.
