Stereo Unlimited was a go-to place when I lived in SD (nearly 35 years ago), and they are still in the high-end business. They are located in the Sports Arena area. You might ask them to recommend a repair shop.
Thor Audio repair?
My Thor TA-1000 broke two days ago. I got all 4 tubes replaced and it still not working (no sound). Is there a place I could send the preamp to for repair? I really like it and couldn't find any used ones for sale.
