This is juvenile...

If you had one wish for a perfect female artist to be your lifetime mate, who would it be?

Josie Cotton, Lene Lovich, Pearl Harbor. All three had a lot of personality and musical & visual style. I was a member of Pearl’s band in 2002-3, and she is a real sweetheart. She was married to Paul Simonon (Clash bassist) for a while, and toured in the UK and Europe with Costello, in the States with Rockpile.
Oh man, how could I have forgotten about Marianne Faithful?! The perfect mix of Angel and tramp.
Jessi Colter in 1976. Check out the cover of her Diamond In The Rough album. Daaaaamn.....
@frogman---Ha, good thing women don't feel that way. There'd be a lot of homeless musicians ;-) . One performer who has left a littered field of past relationships is Lucinda Williams. She has been through more marriages and boyfriends than a movie star from the 1940's and 50's.
@audioman58---Apparently Keith Richards finds Norah very attractive. The two of them did a duet on "Love Hurts" at the tribute show to Gram Parsons at The Universal Amphitheater in 2004. I was in attendance, and watched in horror as Keith couldn't keep his hands off her---he was all over her. It was creepy---he was acting quite lasciviously, and she looked very embarrassed. I was embarrassed for him. Keith, dude, act your age, not your IQ.
Some of ya’ll have nominated dead ones, so I’ll add Tammy Wynette, Amy Winehouse, Eva Cassidy, and (me too) Dusty Springfield (too bad I'm not "her type" ;-).
Could be Emmylou Harris. Or Iris Dement. Or Julie Miller. Or Joan Osborne. Or Carlene Carter. Or Kasey Chambers. Or Rhonda Vincent. Or Patty Loveless. Or Chrissie Hynde, I guess ;-) .
