Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

it is fun but very noisy.   i am going to listen to the Perlisten brand of speakers.

it has been very challenging to find a speaker that would entice me enough to sell my 3.7's  i drive them with a Coda 16 amp and a BAT VK 80 preamp.

rankest,

I've never experienced the Thiel's with the Coda gear but would like to someday. The BAT VK is a great preamp.
Great place to introduce tubes is at preamp.

All -

as above, Thiel speakers (CS 1.6, CS 1.7, CS 2.4, CS 2.4SE, CS 2.7 and CS 3.7) match very well with Tube electronics. Both an Integrated Amp or Separates fit nicely. Regarding separates, a Tube pre-amp plus Solid state power amp is preferred to my ears.

Associated Brands- Aesthetix, Audio Research, B.A.T., Cary Audio, Conrad Johnson, P.S. Audio, and Rogue Audio.  I can attest to this group for Integrated Amp(s) and Pre-Amps.

Happy Listening!

2nd Note;

Associated Brands (Solid State)- AYRE Acoustics,  Bryston LTD., and Pass Labs. I can attest to this group for Integrated, Pre and Power Amps.

Happy Listening!

hi Tom,    i meant the audio show was noisy, especially the AV rooms.   no problem with my wonderful 3.7's.   Thanks.

Hi Duramax,  i think as long as the amp is capable of a lot of current,  any good high powered SS amp will work.   The Coda is really great and  the only amp that i would consider to replace the Coda would be the new  (not yet available BAT REX 300) .  The BAT is a great preamp and was the end of a preamp search (i think the preamp is much more important than the amp in many ways).  It was the PS BHK preamp,  then the Pass XP22, then the Coda .07 and finally the BAT.

3rd Note;

Anthem ( I believe that is Class D).  I can attest to this brand for Integrated, Pre and Power Amps.

Happy Listening!
