Theta Dreams

I had a weird dream lastnight. Ninjas were flying on rooftops chasing me down, for I stole their sacred Theta DAC. As I alluded their chase, I slipped into a house and found an ordinary looking system. There, I plugged the Theta in, powered it up, and began to be enthralled by all the audiophile nuances. I thought to myself, Theta is outdated technology? Maybe it just sounded better since I was running for my life.

Yes, I was running a fever. Too tired to move my ass out of bed and into the living room to listen to my system, so I had to dream about stealing someone else's system. Or, maybe I subconsciously desire Theta. I always had a thing for Greek food.

I must say that no information beyond that which you can see at the website was supplied to me in the accompanying materials so I cannot offer more. My understanding is that earlier "generations" will be upgradeable and that the technology will be and is trickling down into other products such as the Compli player/transport and the Theta pre/pro controllers.

Personally, I am less concerned with Theta's implementation of up/oversampling in a product where it is undefeatable and, therefore, inherent in the product's overall performance. Had it been defeatable, it would have been more of an issue.
