Phenomenally tasteful player whose Jazz studies and harmonic awareness elevate him above typical licks-based players. A protégé of Warren Haynes. Terrific and terrifically soulful singer, as well.

As @slaw and @bdp24 have asserted, the genres of Americana, Hard Country, and Bluegrass are generously populated by gifted younger artists. There are also singer songwriters whose music is a hybrid of these styles, along with Folk influences. In fact, it appears that these genres are attracting a disproportionate number of such folks. Exploring these genres, this reality is inescapable. Anyone who asserts there is no good music being made today is simply advertising their laziness. |
