The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....

New SR BLUE fuse thread ...

I’ve replaced all 5 of the SR BLACK fuses in my system with the new SR BLUE fuses. Cold, out of the box, the BLUE fuses stomped the fully broken-in SR BLACKS in a big way. As good as the SR BLACK fuses were/are, especially in comparison with the SR RED fuses, SR has found another break-through in fuses.

1. Musicality ... The system is totally seamless at this point. Its as if there is no system in the room, only a wall to wall, front to back and floor to ceiling music presentation with true to life tonality from the various instruments.

2. Extension ... I’ve seemed to gain about an octave in low bass response. This has the effect of putting more meat on the bones of the instruments. Highs are very extended, breathing new life into my magic percussion recordings. Vibes, chimes, bells, and triangles positioned in the rear of the orchestra all have improved. I’ve experienced no roll-off of the highs what so ever with the new BLUE fuses. Just a more relaxed natural presentation.

3. Dynamics ... This is a huge improvement over the BLACK fuses. Piano and vibes fans ... this is fantastic.

I have a Japanese audiophile CD of Flamenco music ... the foot stomps on the stage, the hand clapping and the castanets are present like never before. Want to hear natural sounding castanets? Get the BLUE fuses.

4. Mid range ... Ha! Put on your favorite Ben Webster album ... and a pair of adult diapers. Play Chris Connor singing "All About Ronnie," its to die for.

Quick .... someone here HAS to buy this double album. Its a bargain at this price. Audiophile sound, excellent performance by the one and only Chris Connor. Yes, its mono ... but so what? Its so good you won’t miss the stereo effects. If you’re the lucky person who scores this album, please post your results here.

Overall impressions:

Where the RED fuses took about 20 hours to sound their best, and the BLACK fuses took upwards of 200 hours of total break-in, the BLUE fuses sounded really good right out of the box ... and that’s without doing anything about proper directional positioning. Not that the BLUE fuses don’t need breaking in, they do. The improvement continues through week three. Its a gradual break-in thing where each listening session is better than the last.

Everything I described above continues to break new ground in my system as the fuses continue breaking in. Quite honestly, I find it difficult to tear myself away from the system in order to get things done. Its truly been transformed into a magical music machine. With the expenditure of $150.00 and a 30 day return policy there’s really nothing to lose. In my system, its like upgrading to a better pre amp, amp, CD player or phono stage. Highly recommended.

Kudos to Ted Denney and the entire staff at SR. Amazing stuff, guys. :-)

Well there are many nay sayers who do not hear differences in the components comprising our Music Reproduction Systems this is usually attributable to confirmation bias they think there is no difference so they can not hear the difference this is not unusual at all. Another probable cause of such broad based inability to hear the difference is  the employment of low resolution components in there  Music Reproduction Systems which obscure or negate the improvements wrought by such upgrades. While this is understandable I frankly admit that the part of this inability that does slightly puzzle me to a mild extent is the fervor with which these nay sayers repeatedly assert there inisistence on so called "valid" listening tests that are themselves often either profoundly flawed in design or are otherwise corrupted through improper implementation which is a common result of unqualified personnel conducting such tests. There is more than a bit of irony that those who proclaim snake oil the loudest and most often are actually originated from those most unable to distinguish snake oil from genuine innovation but their interest in science does not extend to actually being qualified or able to practice it!

It is clear from the assertion presented here in the absence of any facts or supporting material that you are what some have called here in this forum a "measurementalist" so please provide information about the double blinded testing that you have undertaken to arrive at this steadfast conclusion. Do not forget to include all the details on the test so that it can be independently verified by your fellow "measurementalists."

Kindly correct me in the event that I may be mistaken because English is not my native language but my understanding of the work "Skeptic" is that it is someone who has "doubt" but as we have seen here these people do not have "doubt" they have firmly decided without reservation that fuses do not matter even though many purchasers of such fuses have obviously decided for themselves to the contrary position. What is particularly of great interest in this matter is that the "Skeptics" have not actually tried the fuses that they oppose with such vociferous  attack which further supports my suggestion to the assembled group here that they are not "Skeptics" at all but denyers naysayers and disbelievers in the actual science of listening even though they claim to have science on they're side!

User "georgehifi" has decided he has the right to personally attack others hear because he believes we are stupid delusional and anti-science unlike him who has the facts to back up his deeply held religion so if that is offensive to you you will probably have to alert the Moderators which is something I will not do because it reveals that users such as "georgehifi" are in fact arguing from fantasy and pseudoscience and using bullying tactics to further their savior agenda.

You are not making any sense besides the fact that many times people here have explained why fuses can make a difference if you can understand how wire can make a difference then you should be able to understand why a fuse can make a difference because as you should know if you don't know a fuse works because theres a wire inside!

They don't need additional "credibility" to be established here because most of those who have used these products already know about the results and many have shared that information here so they'res no need to respond directly to you and your calls for additional testimony because even if they did as you said you will just keep arguing! Actual audiophiles who have used these specific products in they're Music Reproduction Systems are quite satisfied with the result even if you must continue with you're "emperor's clothes" argument!

Actually it is YOU and people like YOU who toss about this magic power fairy dust claims not the people who are not afraid to LISTEN to they're Music Reproduction Systems and REPORT they're results here even though they know that you are sure to pop up again and tell them they're insane or deluded or believe in the emperor's clothes fairy tail. I do sometimes wonder what it is exactly that people like you are afraid of I guess it is a bit like being a child and being afraid of the dark it is an unknown and it is there that your fear is so deeply rooted.

It IS religion and it is odd that you don't see it that is a reflection of your deeply held and cherished faith that you have acquired nourished and cultivated for so long that it becomes part of your lifestyle just as it is for those who's religion is based on something more traditional but there is no difference.

It is not hubris really it is faith and actually it is something to be tolerated respected and even welcomed but it is important to recognize it for what it is it is NOT science or hubris but FAITH in the unknown unseen and un-understood. Man has sought answers from the beginning of time - why is the sky blue, for example? Before science could answer that we had religion and now some use religion to understand some of the lesser known mechanisms that involve our Music Reproduction Systems.

This is very true as has been shown here on multiple threads over time and in fact those who suffer the greatest from expectation bias are those who insist there is no difference and so there is no reason to test their belief! They are paralyzed against taking action, study or testing based on their closely held faith based convictions!

It is very nice to see that others here also quickly  recognize the great beauty in a simple expression of faith absent any proselytizing what so ever and it is may hope that perhaps some of the other members of this forum with deeply held faith may see in Ivan's proclomation an opportunity at last to express they're own faith such as, "I believe that fuses make no audible difference in a Music Reproduction System and because of this faith I see no need to test the veracity of my faith or to challenge, expect or demand that others believe as I do."

Arguments with the most steadfast of skeptics always bog down for the same reason...when the skeptics bog down it’s because the underlying rules of engagement have changed. Again, they utterly DEMAND to understand something. They demand "proof" yet reject all proposals of it. I have simply decided to stop giving these people the time of day in such an argument...the moment they DEMAND to be helped is the moment they take themselves off the road of being a seeker...they have decided in their rage and frustration to take things out on others as a deliberate protest to God himself...

This is a very beautifully crafted and substantially heart-felt expression of faith and belief and stands as a testimony to real faith, which needs no confirmation, substantiation or proof from anyone else that is the very basis of genuine faith. The words ivan expresses here honestly and frankly reveal a person of true and genuine faith, as opposed to the naysayers here who relatively speaking have invented they’re own faith that they cloak in their own exclusive unique and distinct interpretation of a clouded, murky, fuzzy version of "science."

We have seen such multiple deleted posts within a single simple thread posted on many occasions and such deletions are most commonly the logical result of the groups' experienced moderators shutting down the nonsense responses which are ordinarily marked with repeated demands that others perform blind tests while at the same time pretending to don the white cloak of objective scientists working within their realm of facts and data when in fact such self-proclaimed "objectivists" actually have a near total lacking in the most basic scientific disciplines. Such numerous posts by the groups few "nay-sayers" or "debbie-downers" as some call them repeatedly and continually disrupt the ready flow of legitimate information within the thread disrupting those who seek to share via the forum they're actual, first-hand real world experience with the devices, methods or protocols under discussion.

If you are referring hear to a valid reliable repeatable scientific double-blind listening test that would be conducted in public and would not require the advance submission of personal information or agreement in full to terms established by your attorney I remain ready willing and able to prove in a double-blind test the clear, obvious and demonstrable differences in things such as cables and fuses that you have previously insisted do not exist in fact I have a business trip scheduled to the US this summer so this would be a very easy straightforward and manageable matter to arrange so just let us know if your serious or perhaps otherwise simply engaging in repeated concerted deliberate efforts to stir the pot.

Of course none of that has anything to do with the topics under discussion here at all it is another logical fallacy which this group abounds with and they are furthered by those unwilling or unable to actually experiment with some of the devices methods and protocols that are discussed hear and the best that many of these people can do is say "well be honest with your self and test it" when in fact we are testing it that is the problem that people like "profs" don't bother to do they're homework before coming here and then argue they're nonsense with those who actually have real first hand practical experience!

If you're intention hear is to expose the "dubious quality" of the "arguments and evidence" hear then you would be well advised to continue you're studies with a particular emphasis on logic which although you seem to be able to paste in some details of from Wikipedia or where ever you  obviously do not understand you are stuck in a mode of simply attacking criticizing and faulting without on your part offering any meaningful significant or reasoned response other than "I don't like what he says so I'll just keep arguing with him."
