The best speaker you ever heard?

In my opinion, the speaker is by far the most important part of the audio system. After all, it is the only part you hear. OK, the other stuff really matters a lot, but without a great speaker... No go.

I am a bit 'speaker-obsessed' I guess, and now I am wondering: What are the best speakers you have ever heard, and what made them the best?

Duntech always touted that the Sovereign and Princess could accurately reproduce a square wave, and had the graphs to back up the claim. I believe they are still in production, though I have not checked their website for a while. Dunlavy as well, as was noted above, though they are no longer in production, sadly. I'd be curious if other speaker manufacturers make this claim.
And I'm not so sure that he did not use the equalizer, as he does make reference to it quite a bit, and notes that the EQ might be slightly degrading the sound in the article. Where did you deduce that he wasn't using the EQ?
If we "all can agree" that the Bose 901s do not sound good without the EQ, what does that say about the reviewer's abilities when he praises them as much as he does?
I have heard both the large Nola Grand system (an earlier version than the current one) and a few of the smaller models in the line, including the Baby Grands (I own the Micro Grands). I like them all, but prefer the Baby Grands to the big system, principally because it is not easy to set up the big system optimally so that everything integrates properly. Great speakers for getting to the heart of the music.
Cello's Performance mono amps (sometimes called the Red Eyes because of their red light in the front panel) put out 350 watts, I believe. Perhaps Mattmiller heard a system using multiple Performance amps; I seem to recall hearing something like that at Gene Pope's studio (Pope Music, which made some excellent CDs) in northern NJ years ago at an NJAS meeting.
