The best speaker you ever heard?

I will admit that nearly all of my high end speaker listening has been with the Focal line, but my clear favorite is the Focal Utopia Diablo with a JL Audio subwoofer. The first few times I heard this combination it simply blew me away. Even if I could afford the Utopia Grande speakers I would choose the Diablo's.

Guystp - See if they have a pair of the Focal Diablo Utopia speakers that they can hook to the same equipment. They are a fraction of the cost and matched with a JL Audio subwoofer would be my choice. Great speakers AND a great car for the same amount of money.

Oeiras99 - What does purchasing have to do with making a speaker the best you've ever heard? Their sound doesn't change simply because you didn't take them home. If they're a significant investment and you're happy with your PSBs, why change?

Are you saying that with Bose speakers it's not possible to tell the difference between analog and digital?

I remember going in a Bose store years ago and sitting through the demonstration using the BIG speakers on the wall. I did wonder why there were not using Bose speakers until they took the grills/shells off of the walls and exposed the cubes hiding behind.

Is it possible that the new version of the Bose 901's that are seemingly so wonderful are really just a shell around another brand speaker?

I heard some Focal Utopia Stella EM speakers a few weeks ago and I can't say that I've heard anything that I liked better. I've heard the Utopia Diablo and Grande models in the past and they are all excellent.
