Anybody else remember Dave Wilson demoing the Sophia at the 2004 CES show with a cheap Parasound amp and an iPod? Guess the equipment didn't matter much that day.

Does anyone know if there has ever been a pair of speakers sent to him that he couldn't improve? Just says "nothing to be done here, it's perfect".

I'm not bashing Danny, I know he makes quality products. Just curious if he's ever sent anything back with no mods necessary.

I briefly owned Danny’s Super V loudspeaker a few years ago. While I never warmed up to the coaxial full range driver, the OB bass modules produced the finest bass I’ve ever heard in my room.

I’m surprised she reposted while still leaving s@“t in the post. I’ve had s@“t deleted for less than that, lol….

FWIW, whatever changes Danny makes to the speakers other than upgraded parts, will make it sound like something other than a WP. If that’s what the owner wants, he bought the wrong speakers in the first place.

Big difference indeed. Forming an opinion from a measurement is very foolish.

Don't assume anything about what I understand or don't understand. I have owned Sophias and I know they need good equipment in front of them. I wasn't at the show so I don't know how the demo sounded.

I was only trying to take folks down memory lane.
