Tekton Design Moab

Ordered a pair just now. In Dark Gray, to which Tammy immediately said, "Oh the Charcoal is beautiful!" Charcoal sounds better than Dark Gray (even though we are talking about the same color!) so Charcoal it is!  

My beloved Talon Khorus do still sound awfully good. It will be interesting to see how the Moabs stock out of the box compare with these tweaked and modded warhorses. Both the strength, and the weakness, of the Khorus is using the 10" woofer to cover so much midrange. Its a strength because it makes for a very smooth and cohesive sound. But its a weakness because its asking a lot of such a large driver to go so high. Talon makes up for it with their isobaric design. Mounted inside and directly behind the woofer is another identical driver facing the opposite direction. The idea is this relieves the front facing driver of having to compress the air inside the cabinet. This does allow for a much faster response, and is a big reason for the wonderful music the Khorus produces. 

I have a feeling however it is no match for Eric Alexander's ultra-low mass driver array solution. Only one way to know for sure. So we will just have to see!

Here’s the deal p05129, its real easy to establish yourself as a know-nothing opinionated blowhard. For you it may even come naturally. On the other hand it takes a whole lot of posts answering questions some don’t even understand let alone can solve, to establish your credibility. (Look around, "Subwoofer causing amp to stay on" that was just today.) So I will do this one time for you and one time only. Then if you continue to plaster my threads with your truculence, well sorry you will not get the attention you crave. You will be ignored.

The lady audiophile was Krissy Mrock. Yeah. You would know who that is if you had a clue, which I doubt. But you are welcome to call her up and confirm the minute I said Tekton she said "Sexy as hell!" Maybe while you’re at it ask her how it feels to be blind.

Now do us all a favor and lurk all you want but when you get the urge to post, move along, please.

Seriously? You are actually listening to this joker? Seriously???!

Reality check: Electrode gel is water based and saline. In other words corrosive on metal. Its designed to improve the conductivity of human skin. That is the context. "Highly conductive" in other words means "relative to dry skin." Context. A word the joker, who is endlessly ruining every potentially informative thread on the site, does not even comprehend. (Comprehend, in case you are reading, means you don’t know what you’re reading. Literally do not know. No idea. Whatsoever.)

There’s literally hundreds of contact enhancers made specifically to work on metals, this guy is so dumb he goes looking for one made for skin. One made with water and salt, practically guaranteed to cause corrosion and rust. If there’s a dumber guy on the internet, I don’t want to know!

(Edit- Look! Proof! Even thecarpathian knows its a dumb idea!)

Half a dozen people have at various times asked him to take his hatred and obsession and move along, please. That is an awful lot of delusion to be so detached from reality as to think he should be a freaking moderator. Its beyond mental. Move along. Please.

Whoever it is can succeed in getting a post removed, but they cannot change the fact at least a half a dozen different people have called out glupson for his obsessive hatred and constant negativity. Its not just me but all these other people have asked him to knock it off and move along please. Those are just the facts. If a person in the face of such facts persists in denial, acting as if they're actually doing something of value, well in my opinion that is evidence of a psychic break, or maybe even more of a congenital chasm between fantasy and reality.

But that's just my opinion. Move along. Please.
