TechDAS Air Force III original vs Air Force III Premium & S

I saw someone mention that the original TechDAS AF-3 had some speed or reliability issues. Does anyone know if this is true and if they made changes in the Premium or Premium S versions which improved reliability? Thinking of purchasing a used AF-3 original.
