Today's inexpensive DAC's have reached such a high level of performance that I doubt you will hear any difference if you add a more expensive DAC to the TEAC's digital output. Others here will disagree because they have bought into the idea that more expensive = better sound.
Teac Pd-301 and external DAC
I recently set up my Teac cd player and am curious if anyone with a Teac Pd 301 Is using it as a transport and passing through an external DAC? If so, which one and what improvements or differences are you hearing? Comparing my inexpensive streamer/DAC to the Teac and it’s built in DAC I don’t hear much of a difference so I think a decent external DAC may be worthwhile.
